National Family Law Practice Adopts All-Cloud Terminal Services & Data Storage Model, Enhances Security, and Optimizes Cloud Consumption Costs
Challenge
An existing customer was exploring various ways to adopt an all-cloud terminal services and data storage model, allowing users to securely access data from multiple devices and locations. A terminal services and Sharepoint-centric design was proposed internally; however they were running into roadblocks with cost, security, and usability.
Solution
nDivision assessed the need and presented a solution that utilized the benefits of Microsoft WVD coupled with Azure AD Domain Services with SMB authentication for Azure Files. Deployment of WVD and Azure Files along with Azure AD Domain Services in the same vnet further locked down file access and enhanced security.
Results
After contracting nDivision, users can now securely access session desktops from any device. MFA has been deployed through the environment via Conditional Access. The customer is continuing to retire devices and expand their Azure presence, and established data tiers for the solution further optimized cloud consumption costs.
